Overseas Educator Programs

As for the experiential exchange programs for teachers and teaching professionals with substantial experience, they are aimed at equipping the participants with knowledge of international development trends through overseas field training or special educational projects.

Programme Details

We currently offer a 10-month exchange program to USA. Full-time teachers aged 21 or above with at least three years’ teaching experience are welcome to join us. Apart from planning the itinerary, AFS is also responsible for arranging professional instructors to follow up on the program in order to embrace the spirit of international exchange and provide participants with an enlightening life experience.

Participants will be arranged to live with local host families and take part in local school activities. They will also be exposed to different teaching methods and course curricula and interact with various education professionals.

Programme Fees

Applicants who have passed the interviews will be required to pay the fee which includes the premium for a medical insurance policy, as well as the expenses for all orientation and briefing sessions, volunteer support and program materials, etc. All AFS host families have gone through a stringent screening process to ensure that participants can experience for themselves the cultural differences among different nationalities in their daily lives.

Participants will have to pay for the visas and airfares concerned.
