Have you ever thought of having one more child who can transform your family into a more international one?
AFS Intercultural Exchanges in now urgently recruiting Hong Kong families who could host exchange students for academic year 2009-2010.
40 AFS exchange students, aged 15-18 years old, from different countries as diverse as Brazil, Italy, Iceland and Sweden are currently in Hong Kong but some of them are still looking for host families for their intercultural experience in Hong Kong. Students participate on AFS are eager to learn Chinese culture and how to relate to people different from themselves. Students attend local schools and become involved in community service programs etc.
AFS students are neither tourists nor guests – they are a member of the host family. A spacious living environment is not required, as long as you can provide the love and support that these teenagers need. AFS provides school tuition and transportation fees. Host families are asked to provide meals and accommodation.
To host a foreign exchange student can be deeply rewarding for all members of the family, and, above all, fun!
