Since AFS Hong Kong’s inception in 1983, it has witnessed a steady increase in the number of local volunteers, who provide important front line support for various exchange programs, as well as organizing, implementing and following-up educational activities under various exchange programs for participants, such as:
1. Programs Orientation
2. Participants Selection and Home Visits
3. Parents Orientation
4. Recruitment of Host Families and Home Visits
5. Support Contact for hosting students
6. Other Promotional Activities
At present, four volunteer groups, namely the Recruitment Team, the Parents Team, the Support Team and the Volunteer Development Team, which have over 500 registered volunteers, assist with the organization and implementation of activities related to the exchange programs.
