Two of our volunteers, Irene and Molly, went to Argentina at the end of 2005 for a short period of volunteer exchange. Irene wrote about her experience in Argentina.

I'm back from Argentina!
Argentina is a beautiful country, with stunning natural wonders, an elegant capital, and a passionate culture … During my stay in Argentina from 18 Nov – 27 Nov 2005, through the school visits,
meetings, presentation and the sharing with their volunteer‘s experience and knowledge. Now I get a better picture about Latin America and its cultures. I hope all the experience I had would be helpful for our students when they embark their journey to Argentina next year.
Not only the above, the important thing I got I really see myself and my culture during this exchange. Also, I know what the “exchange” really means to me. I did enjoy staying with my two cosy host families who made me feel like I am one of their family members.… And they taught me how to make Empanada (dumpling), Asado (steak), mate (tea), submarine (hot chocolate)... I will cherish these beautiful memories.
I believed the trip was a success in every way… if the number of students exchanged with Argentina will be increased in the years to come.
